Most female oriented spaces eventually come to that sort of situation, due to herd dynamics. Eventually, even something as innocuous as “Men have a choice” becomes misogynistic (ironic, considering how “men are gatekeepers of commitment” was a common mantra and how is that not a choice?), and what’s left after the purges is mainly “herd affirming” comments complaining about how evil “those who must not be named” are. Such spaces are not really useful for guys, since as ADBG notes, there’s no pretense even of empathy to any male concerns (which again was odd, considering some of them have male children, oh well). Though, in fairness, they still might retain some use for guys as real-time examples of female herd behavior, and as examples of how ruthless the women in the UMC can be in their “I don’t care what happens beyond my gated community” mentality.
Back to the original topic, I don’t remember who once mentioned the concept of “team woman” vs. the concept of “team my man”. That, I think is an important concept to make sure to check for on the “resume”. How a woman looks after the males in her family (father, brothers, nephews) is a good sign of how she’ll deal with husband and children in the future.
