The one who left the flowers is 56, raised his kids (now grown) by himself, was a police officer, CHIPS patrol, and swat team sniper in his former life, now works as a VP running three divisions and a team of 75 people for a major tech company. Super nice, not of the power-tripping former cop variety at all, that would not work for me. He’s actually very meek and mild mannered, gentlemanly. Not a big guy, maybe 5’10’ but he has a big presence in a quiet way. He’s extremely hardworking, methodical, logical, very type A. Yet he seems to like how creative and all over the place I am, oddly enough. Incredibly kind, intelligent, and probably one of the most emotionally aware men I have ever met, irl. He’s made his mistakes in past relationships but owns up to them and seems to have learned from all that. We met when he stopped in my biz last Oct. for an event, noticed me then, but I was dating Mad Max at the time so apparently he’s been keeping tabs on me, heard thru the grapevine I was single, and he showed back up seemingly out of the blue. Stopped in twice on music night to visit before asking me to dinner and we have been on a few dates hiking and such. So we’ll see…so far so good…don’t want to jinx it. I’m on my best behavior, making sure he knows I know what a catch he is and I am treating him accordingly, as you all have counseled many a time women should do. So they are not all bad…those who approach irl…thank goodness! Time will tell…

Theasdgamer,
It’s not that any of us needs a unicorn, what is needed is a mare with a good attitude.
